This course aims to explore how the meanings of products structure in the social context, and how we can understand the meanings through applicable theories. For a professional designer who gives the forms of products for the most part, to express the meanings of products is necessary. Furthermore, the meaningful products are the suitable media for designers to modify their attitudes to users.


以設計語言探索者的角色來針對產品語意學進行文獻研究與作品分析之專業學習,從理論認識包括語意層次(外延性、內涵性)及特徵分析(功能性、象徵性、趣味性、關懷性)等來探討國內外研究及分析以培育學生對產品語意應用的能力與思維,並透過簡報討論方式來透析產品語意價值與不同材質設計開發。

藉由認識台灣本土創意文化及結合地方工藝文化來發揮設計創意,以創意產業參訪等方式來進行認識文化與文化商品實作學習,除了解設計的文化形式及符碼等論述是如何活用來設計出富有意涵商品,乃是重視文化創意產業的今日而值得特別思考的課題。

Product Design Analysis

產品設計分析

The aim of this course focus on three aspects includes F.E.A & product, user and design activity to analyze commercial products with related to form, ergonomics, marketing and manufacturing. This course introduces the practical analysis cases, analysis methods and tools for product analysis. The purpose of this course wills give the participants a practical study and the analysis results could assist with the recommendation of new design guidelines. Each student must present one existing analysis case and one investigative analysis in this lecture.

透過了解各種產品分析方法來解析產品之功能、特性、使用者及效益評估等設計活動之決策分析。包括針對產品的外觀造形、人因工程、市場行銷、材料製造等這四個大方面進行分析探討;透過產品的分析結果,能提供設計師或其團隊對於設計目標與內容能有更清楚之了解,並提出合適的設計方針(design guideline)供設計開發部門參考與評估。
